Yay!!! It's a boy! I'm BEYOND excited for this new life!
This pregnancy hasn't been the easiest due to all of my morning sickness/throwing up that lasted until about 2 weeks ago (at 4 1/2 months) but seeing that face yesterday made it all worth it! I've been so nervous about labor and such but when I saw him moving around and opening his little mouth and saw his legs squirming, all (ok most) of that fear went away because I just want to meet this little guy!
Being a mom has always been something I've wanted and I knew it would be a neat experience, but I didn't realize the awe and wonder that comes along with it. I simply can't believe the doctor said that the ultrasound looked great and that he is totally healthy! Going into the appointment, I was anticipating the doctor saying something would need further testing or that surely something wasn't right. But when she said everything looked perfect, it just blew me away. It really is a miracle how everything just falls into place and forms exactly how it supposed to. One of the pictures she showed us was the baby's four chambers of the heart. Maybe I'm rambling here but how did that little speck I saw at 6 weeks turn into a completely complex, intricate, detailed human being??? SO INCREDIBLE. It's amazing that pregnancy is one of the most common yet awe inspiring experiences ever.
Anyway, the baby is due June 17th and I am 20 weeks along. This whole thing is truly a gift from God. One that I don't take lightly. Losing our first baby definitely gave Kyle and I such an appreciation for this baby now. About this time a year ago, both sides of our family gathered together to be with us when we miscarried. But last night, our family gathered together to celebrate this child's life:) We all went to Olive Garden and Kyle and I announced the gender of the baby and celebrated! Ever since our celebration last night the baby has not stopped kicking:)

Anyway thanks for reading and for celebrating with us! We are so excited to be parents!
